Relentless heavy rainfall in Jharkhand has brought significant challenges to the state’s residents. The most severe impact is currently being felt in the Gumla district, where a bridge over the Kons River on the Dhadha-Charda road has collapsed due to the downpour. A portion of the bridge crumbled into the river, disrupting all traffic and isolating over a dozen villages. Authorities have quickly erected barricades on both sides of the bridge to prevent accidents. Residents of Dhadha, Charda, Jorar, Lurgum, and surrounding villages now face a considerable detour to reach the Sissai block.
