Zelensky Warns Monthly Interceptor Deliveries May Fall Short of Needs

In a briefing with journalists in Belgrade, President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that the promised monthly supply of Patriot interceptors from the United States is unlikely to satisfy Ukraine's comprehensive air‑defence requirements.

Zelensky highlighted that the current agreement, while ensuring a regular flow of missiles, still leaves gaps in the protection of critical zones. He also indicated that the projected number of missiles for 2026 could be lower than the 2025 figures, adding uncertainty to the long‑term defence planning.

The president attributed earlier delivery shortfalls to logistical disruptions caused by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, which has strained global arms production. He urged Washington to consider increasing the volume to match the escalating threat environment.
