Youth-led CKP protests highlight democratic challenges in India

The CKP’s recent demonstrations have drawn attention to what Sam Pithroda describes as a "concerted attack on democracy." He pointed out that control over media, intimidation of dissenters, and the centralization of power around the Prime Minister’s Office undermine democratic discourse.

Pithroda also raised concerns about the electoral process—voter registration, EVM reliability, and ballot handling—creating a perception of bias. He praised the young protesters for breaking the silence, stating that their courage has encouraged others who previously feared retaliation to voice their grievances.
