Youth Exchange Program Strengthens India‑Vietnam Ties through Cadet Visits
The Annual Youth Exchange Programme sent a fifteen‑strong Indian National Cadet Corps team to Vietnam this August.
During their stay in Hanoi, the cadets paid homage at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, offered a wreath, and expressed respect for the country’s founding figure.
Subsequent visits included the Presidential Palace, the Children’s Palace, and the Vietnam Military History Museum, each providing insight into Vietnam’s governance, youth development and military heritage.
A meeting with Ambassador Tsering W. Sherpa at the Indian Embassy highlighted the expanding defence partnership and the broader strategic relationship between New Delhi and Hanoi.
Planned outings to defence, cultural and academic institutions in Hanoi and Nha Trang will further deepen people‑to‑people connections, reinforcing the long‑term friendship between the two nations.
