Yemen's government army reports 81 operations against Houthi positions

In a separate development, Yemen's internationally recognised army announced that it carried out 81 separate military actions against Houthi sites over the past 24 hours. The army spokesman said the operations targeted armed fighters, field commanders, and several militant encampments across multiple fronts.

He added that a number of combatants were killed or wounded during the sweeps, describing the campaigns as a necessary response to the continuous Houthi attacks on civilian infrastructure and security forces.

The Houthi movement has not issued a statement addressing the government's claims, and the two sides remain locked in a cycle of retaliation.
