Yemen Emergency Force Confirms Hits on Its Bases After Houthi Assault
The Yemen Emergency Force, a unit formed with Saudi support, verified that several of its camps and forward operating bases in Marib and Hadramaut were hit by Houthi‑launched missiles and drones. The force reported that the strikes caused civilian‑like casualties among its troops and damaged key infrastructure.
According to the force’s spokesperson, the attacks were a direct response to recent security campaigns aimed at dismantling criminal networks and smuggling routes in the region. The force warned that it will continue to protect the area despite the heightened threat from Houthi operations.
The statement also highlighted that the Houthi group has escalated its use of advanced weaponry, including ballistic missiles, to target Saudi‑aligned forces in Yemen.
