Will Kejriwal resign from the post of Delhi CM?

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, in an interview to a TV channel, expressed his views frankly on various issues and targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He claimed that if he resigns from the post of Chief Minister, the next target will be West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

Kejriwal was asked why he said that now Amit Shah will become the Prime Minister? On this he said that Amit Shah had said in 2019 that all people above 75 years of age will be retired. This rule was made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself in 2014, under which Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, and Yashwant Sinha were retired. Kejriwal said that due to this rule, a fierce succession war is going on within the BJP, and Modi ji has gradually removed many senior leaders from the post so that the path of Amit Shah can be cleared.

The Delhi CM claims that there is tension within the BJP because PM Modi wants Amit Shah to be the next PM, but the rest of the party members do not agree with this. Kejriwal says that this discussion is going on across the country, and he has put it forward openly.

The question of resignation

When Kejriwal was asked why he is not resigning from the post of CM, he said that Modi wants him to resign because it is difficult to defeat him in Delhi. After his resignation, the next target will be Mamata Banerjee and Pinarayi Vijayan. Kejriwal said that if he resigns, the democracy of the country will be in danger.

loyalty to the post

Kejriwal said that he is not greedy for power. Earlier also he had left his job as Income Tax Commissioner and worked in slums and resigned from the post of Chief Minister within 49 days. But today this is a part of his struggle, and hence he will not leave this chair. The Supreme Court has also rejected the petition to remove him from the post. Kejriwal believes that wherever Modiji loses, the CM will be arrested.

Said this on Sisodia’s resignation

Kejriwal said that the government will not fall because of Manish Sisodia’s resignation, but his resignation will definitely bring down the government. The court is repeatedly asking where the money is, but the BJP is unable to prove it. The Supreme Court has also given them a clean chit. A scam of Rs 100 crore has been alleged, but not a single penny has been recovered till now.
