White Supremacist Arrested After Foiled Scheme Targeting Illinois Hindu Shrine

Law‑enforcement agencies in Illinois halted a plan to fire upon a Hindu temple in the Aurora suburb, arresting the alleged mastermind on the spot.

The suspect, a 19‑year‑old, proclaimed himself a “white supremacist neo‑Nazi” and was charged with terrorism‑related threats and unlawful firearm possession.

Officials from India’s Ministry of External Affairs said the incident highlights an alarming surge of anti‑Hindu and racially motivated hostility in the United States.

The perpetrator’s rifle jammed moments before the intended shooting, allowing police to seize him without loss of life.

India’s diplomatic spokesperson demanded a thorough, unbiased investigation by U.S. officials, strict legal action against the assailant, and concrete steps to shield the Indian diaspora from similar attacks.
