Champat Rai, General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, said that the idol which will be installed in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple, will be black in color and its length will be 51 inches. The worship of the idol will start from January 16 and will be installed in the sanctum sanctorum on January 18.

Rai said, “The idol made of Lord Shri Ram Lalla is in the form of a 5 year old child. This statue is 51 inches high, made of black stone and is made in a very attractive manner. 3 statues will be installed
Rai said that the idol of Lord Ram will be kept on the temple grounds. He said, “Apart from Sita and Hanuman, the idols of Lord Ram’s brothers will be placed on the first floor of the grand temple, but it will take another 8 months.” According to the chief priest of the temple, Acharya Satyendra Das, “The idol of Shyam Varna is being installed in the first sanctum. What will happen to the old idol?
At present, an idol is also present in the temporary temple, which is being worshiped since the year 1949. These idols will also be installed near the new idol. Famous sculptor Arun Yogiraj has made the statue
The idol that will be installed in the temple has been made by Arun Yogiraj of Karnataka. He is the son of famous sculptor Yogiraj Shilpi. His grandfather Basavanna Shilpi had done sculpture related work in the palaces of the Wadiyar family. Arun has designed many statues including the statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose at India Gate, the statue of Adi Shankaracharya in Kedarnath, the Hanuman statue in Mysore, the statue of Bhimrao Ambedkar.
