Vorobyov Details Drone Assault: 57 Injured in Elektrostal, One Fatality

Regional governor Andrei Vorobyov posted on social media that Ukrainian drones hit the Moscow region on Saturday, killing one person and injuring 61. After primary medical care, twenty victims were released, nine remain seriously hurt, and thirty‑one are in a stable condition under doctor supervision.

The majority of the casualties were recorded in Elektrostal, a city located about 60 kilometres east of Moscow, where 57 people suffered injuries ranging from shrapnel wounds and blast‑related trauma to serious brain damage, broken bones, burns and smoke inhalation. Four additional injuries were reported in Noginsk. Vorobyov earlier mentioned that a drone crash inside a warehouse in Elektrostal had already caused 24 injuries earlier that day.

The Russian Defence Ministry said its air‑defence systems shot down 774 Ukrainian fixed‑wing drones and 13 precision‑guided aerial bombs in the preceding 24 hours. It also confirmed that Russian forces conducted overnight drone and air strikes on Ukrainian military installations, targeting fuel and lubricant handling infrastructure at the Odessa harbour, fuel depots supporting Ukrainian forces, a container ship loading ammunition at Chornomorske port, and a dry cargo vessel near Snake Island that was delivering supplies to the Ukrainian army.
