Vietnam sees India as key partner in Act East and Indo‑Pacific strategy

Jayashankar emphasized that Vietnam is a cornerstone of India’s Act East policy, its Oceanic outlook and its expansive Indo‑Pacific vision. He pointed to the strategic importance of Vietnam within the broader India‑ASEAN partnership and the comprehensive strategic partnership that India pursues with the bloc. The minister noted that the Joint Commission provides a crucial platform to review the implementation of previously signed agreements and to turn political goodwill into concrete benefits for the peoples of both nations.
