Venezuela Quake Death Toll Includes 16 Italians, Meloni Says

She disclosed that among the casualties were sixteen individuals of Italian descent. The leader pledged unwavering assistance and declared that Italy would maintain its friendship and solidarity with the affected nation. Meloni lauded the rescue personnel for their daring and humane service, emphasizing that their work reflects the best of Italy. Interim President Delcy Rodríguez announced a death count of 2,595, over 12,000 injuries, and the collapse of 189 structures. Currently, 25 temporary shelters are active across several states to accommodate those displaced.
