US: We Don't Want to Punish India for Buying Oil from Russia

Following the imposition of a 50% additional tariff on India by the United States, reportedly due to India's purchase of oil from Russia, a statement from a US minister has emerged. The minister described India as a 'fantastic partner' and stated that the US does not intend to punish India. US Energy Minister Chris Wright, on Wednesday, expressed his country's desire to expand energy cooperation with India, a prominent ally, encompassing natural gas, coal, nuclear energy, and clean cooking fuels.
