US imposes sanctions on Russia's shadow fleet; Kremlin vows adaptation

The United States has expanded its sanctions regime to include Russia’s so‑called shadow fleet – a network of tankers used to evade existing export controls. Moscow’s response, delivered by spokesman Dmitry Peskov, highlighted that Russia has already taken steps to mitigate sanction effects and will continue to seek workarounds. He noted that several of Russia’s commercial allies also oppose the new restrictions.
