US Facilities in Kuwait, Jordan, Iraq Said to Be Hit by IRGC

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a communique on September 2 stating that it successfully struck three American military locations across the Gulf region. The first target was the Ali Al‑Salem air base in Kuwait, where the IRGC said it hit the commander’s living area and the central command post. The second strike focused on a U.S. Marine Corps camp near Jordan’s Gulf of Aqaba, allegedly using ballistic missiles in response to a previous alleged U.S. attack on a wedding in Syria’s Sirik district. The third operation involved the destruction of a surveillance balloon control node and associated maintenance facilities in Erbil, Iraq, which the IRGC said caused the death of several U.S. personnel and sparked a blaze at a fuel storage area.
