US administration asked to press China on Xinjiang abuses

The World Uyghur Congress urges the U.S. government to raise the Uyghur issue firmly during talks with Xi and other Chinese officials in Washington. It requests that American leaders demand an end to the alleged genocide and other violations, and call on China to honor its international human‑rights obligations. The organization also asks the United States to pressure Beijing to halt cross‑border repression policies that affect Uyghur, Tibetan, Hong Kong and Chinese‑origin communities living in the U.S.
