UN Delegation Urges End to Lethal Force in Azad Kashmir

A delegation led by the chairman of the United Kashmir People's National Party, Sardar Shaukat Ali Kashmiri, met United Nations officials in New York to highlight the escalating human‑rights violations in Pakistan‑occupied Kashmir.

During the meetings, the delegation expressed deep concern over the rising civilian death toll and demanded immediate, effective action from the UN, the international community, and governments to stop further loss of life.

The group urged Pakistani authorities to exercise restraint, cease the use of lethal force against peaceful protesters, and prioritize the safety of civilians above all other considerations. They also called for the release of missing or arbitrarily detained persons and the return of bodies to families without conditions.
