Ukrainian mission and Chinese‑Indian community mark Gandhi Day with cultural events

The Ukrainian embassy used X to wish the Indian people a happy Gandhi Jayanti, underscoring how Gandhi’s eternal principles inspire generations worldwide and reinforce the importance of peace grounded in justice and international law.

In China, the Indian Embassy together with the Friends of India community organised a commemorative ceremony at the Jintai Art Museum. Ambassador Vikram Doraiswamy and museum curator Master Yuan Jikun laid a flower garland at a portrait of Gandhi.

The event featured a musical performance by Chinese artists and renditions of Gandhi’s favourite bhajans, followed by the recognition of winners of the Hindi Day Competition 2026.
