Ukraine urges stronger global response after coordinated missile‑drone attack

Following the latest wave of Russian missiles, cruise missiles and drones, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky issued a stark warning to the international community. He said that while Moscow invests heavily in ballistic missile production, the world’s reaction has not matched the scale of the aggression.

The President pointed out that without adequate anti‑ballistic defence, Russia will not be deterred from further escalations. He reaffirmed Ukraine’s reliance on Patriot interceptor missiles, describing them as essential for protecting civilian lives. Zelensky called on partner nations to expedite shipments of modern air‑defence equipment and to explore additional channels of military aid.

The appeal comes as Kyiv, Odesa and Chernihiv grapple with the aftermath of the strikes – collapsed apartments, a damaged children’s hospital, a school, and disrupted gas supplies. Humanitarian organisations are scrambling to provide assistance, while the Ukrainian government continues to coordinate rescue operations.
