Ukrainian Forces Target Drone Depots Near Primorsko‑Akhtarsk, Says President

President Volodymyr Zelensky disclosed that Ukrainian drones have successfully hit a storage and launch facility for Russian attack drones near the town of Primorsko‑Akhtarsk.

The depot, located roughly 180 kilometres from the Akhtubinsk airfield, was reportedly used by Russian forces to stage drone assaults on Ukrainian territory. The strike follows earlier hits on the Perm oil refinery and a military airfield in the Mariupol area.

Zelensky highlighted that these operations are part of a broader long‑range strike campaign extending more than 1,600 kilometres into Russian territory. He also mentioned limited successes in the Black Sea zone.

The Ukrainian president warned that Russian reprisals are ongoing. He described a recent coordinated attack that combined ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and drones, causing widespread damage to civilian structures in Kyiv, Odessa and the Chernihiv region.

In response, Kyiv is rolling out additional sanctions aimed at Russia’s military‑industrial network and individuals supporting the war effort, with coordination planned alongside international partners.
