Ukraine Says Its Reach Extends to Russia's Strategic Rear in Siberia

The Ukrainian foreign ministry declared that its long‑range strike capability now penetrates Russia's so‑called "strategic rear" in Siberia. By hitting an oil‑refining installation in Tobolsk, Kyiv claims to have removed the last layer of security that protected Russian logistics deep inside the country.

The statement highlighted that each successive deep‑strike raises the financial and material burden on Moscow, making continued combat increasingly unsustainable. Ukrainian officials said the objective remains to demonstrate that prolonged war is costly for Russia and that peace is the only viable path forward.

Russian defence officials responded by reporting air raids on Ukrainian positions and temporary drone‑control centers across the Donetsk People's Republic, Kharkiv and Sumy oblasts, using FAB‑250 glide bombs and LMUR air‑launched missiles.
