UAE Launches Specialized Probe into FlyDubai Terror Incident

The United Arab Emirates’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed on Thursday that a dedicated team of public prosecutors has been tasked with investigating the FlyDubai episode. The statement clarified that, because the aircraft is registered in the UAE and flies under its flag, Emirati law governs any crime committed on board, regardless of where the incident occurred.

Authorities said the probe will examine every facet of the event – motive, possible terrorist links, pre‑planned instructions, and any prior coordination. The ministry also thanked Saudi officials for their cooperation and for the manner in which the situation was handled.
