The United States, often a proponent of global peace, is facing increasing pressure. Despite claims by President Donald Trump of having halted six wars in six months, two new fronts have opened against the US. One is in Latin America, where Venezuela has mobilized its militia, and the other is in Asia, with North Korea and its leader, Kim Jong Un.
Venezuela has activated its 4.5 million militia members and declared its stance against any foreign powers attempting to encroach on its territory. Meanwhile, North Korea’s Kim Jong Un has condemned the joint military exercises of the United States and South Korea, deeming them a precursor to war, and has announced the acceleration of nuclear weapons production.
