Trump Warns Iran of More Military Action After Hormuz Strikes

President Donald Trump, speaking at a NATO summit in Ankara, warned Tehran that continued aggression against merchant ships in the Hormuz corridor would invite additional U.S. military measures, including the possibility of naval blockades.

Trump asserted that the recent rocket launches at commercial vessels marked a “twenty‑fold stronger” assault than earlier incidents and that the United States had already responded with precision strikes on Iranian sites deemed hostile to navigation.

He also downplayed the value of ongoing talks over Iran’s nuclear programme, stating that diplomatic avenues were no longer useful, although he left the door slightly ajar for future negotiations.

The president’s comments came after a series of U.S. air operations targeted Iranian installations believed to be facilitating the attacks, signalling a heightened willingness to use force to safeguard global energy routes.
