Trump says Iran’s claims on Hormuz are false, US naval dominance remains

Former President Donald Trump used his Truth Social account to label Iran’s leadership as “two‑faced.” He claimed that while Iranian officials publicly seek talks with the United States, they simultaneously declare that no discussions are underway.

Trump focused on the strategic Strait of Hormuz, asserting that the United States continues to control the passage with its full naval force. He described the American presence as a “steel wall” that prevents Iran from reaching the waterway without U.S. consent.

According to Trump, Iran will never obtain nuclear weapons, and only a genuine negotiation—one Iran is apparently unwilling to accept—could resolve the years‑old dispute.

Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Ismail Bagheri responded by denying any ongoing talks with Washington and warned that the joint U.S.–Israel actions represent a threat to the security of the entire region.
