Trump Predicts Rapid Conclusion of Iran Hostilities, Benefits U.S. Economy

Before heading to a Montana rally, President Donald Trump told the press that the Iran‑United States war will end very soon. He forecast that the cessation of combat will trigger a sharp decline in oil and energy prices, which he said would strengthen the American economy.

Trump did not specify how long the fighting would continue nor did he confirm any back‑channel discussions with Iranian officials. He reaffirmed that the United States has succeeded in its chief goal: stopping Iran from developing a nuclear arsenal.

At a campaign stop in Bullhead City, Arizona, Trump outlined how U.S. air and naval strikes have degraded Iran’s military capabilities, citing reductions in both its navy and air power. He noted that the extensive nature of the operation makes it hard to identify the appropriate Iranian counterpart for future dialogue.

The president emphasized that American forces have achieved total dominance over the Strait of Hormuz, a critical artery for global oil and gas flow. He described the naval campaign as a "steel wall" and claimed that more oil is now moving through the strait than at any earlier point in the conflict.
