President Donald Trump told reporters on Saturday that the ongoing confrontation with Iran will conclude “very soon.” He argued that once the hostilities cease, global oil prices will tumble sharply.

During a press briefing in Texas and later on a factory tour in Denton, Trump emphasized that Iran’s economy is crippled, its currency is in disarray, and its military capabilities are exhausted. He claimed that the Iranian navy, air force, and ground forces have all been effectively neutralized.

Trump’s remarks came amid a series of reported attacks on oil tankers in the Hormuz Strait, a development that has heightened concerns about supply disruptions and price volatility in the energy market.
