Trump discusses security measures on Turkey trip while hinting at 2028 campaign

During a recent overseas visit to Turkey, Donald Trump spoke about the extensive security arrangements that accompanied his trip. He said the Secret Service and the U.S. military were responsible for planning the protection details and that he followed all their recommendations.

"I do whatever the Secret Service thinks is right," Trump said, adding that the level of security was necessary because he receives "a lot of threats that most people don’t know about."

He emphasized that high‑profile leaders, especially presidents with significant influence, face more threats than less prominent officials.

When pressed about his future political plans, Trump again referenced the year 2028, noting that crowds at the event continued to chant the date. He reiterated his willingness to run but reminded listeners that legal obstacles exist.

The former president also used the platform to praise the U.S. Navy’s dominance in the Strait of Hormuz, stating that America maintains complete control over this strategic waterway.
