Trump took to social media platform Truth Social to voice his outrage, stating, “Crooked Joe Biden, Mayorkas, and so-called ‘Border Czar’ Kamala Harris really screwed our Country by letting anyone and everyone come in totally unchecked and unvetted.” The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) echoed these concerns, calling the admission of the suspect, identified as Lakanwal, an “act of national self-sabotage.” DHS announced an immediate halt to processing immigration requests from Afghan nationals pending a thorough review of security and vetting procedures.
