Trade certainty and mutual benefit highlighted in US‑India negotiations
In Delhi, Montana’s Governor Greg Gianforte emphasized that the forthcoming trade accord must rest on a foundation of certainty and reciprocity. He told reporters that without transparent rules, deepening economic ties between the United States and India would remain elusive.
The governor praised the brief but encouraging dialogue with Ambassador Sergio Gor, who signaled that the two sides have already aligned on key points of the deal.
Gianforte pointed out that a predictable environment protects capital from unnecessary risk and encourages long‑term investments in sectors ranging from agriculture to high‑tech manufacturing.
His delegation, comprising over thirty specialists in precision farming, quantum research and aerospace, is slated to hold additional workshops with Indian institutions to map out collaborative projects beyond the trade text.
