Tonk and Malpura Police Trace Missing Pouch of Israeli Woman Tourist
Police in Tonk district successfully traced a missing belt pouch belonging to an Israeli woman tourist, recovering all its valuable contents within two days of the complaint. The pouch contained a passport, driving licence, four credit cards, electronic items, Rs 20,000 in cash and other key documents.
On Thursday, police returned the complete set of belongings to the tourist. The case was solved through a joint investigation by Malpura Police and the District Special Team (DST).
Moshayof Nom, an Israeli resident, was on a journey with her friends from Pushkar to Ranthambore on October 19. The group was travelling by motorcycle to take part in a wildlife safari when she discovered that her waist belt pouch had fallen somewhere along the way.
Her search along the route did not yield results. The tourist and her companions then filed a complaint at Malpura Police Station.
The police registered the case and immediately began an inquiry under the guidance of Tonk Superintendent of Police Roshan Meena. A special team, led by Malpura SHO Chainaram Beda, was assigned to find the pouch.
The team combined technical analysis with information gathered on the ground. CCTV recordings from the probable route were studied closely, and local residents were questioned about the travellers.
These steps led investigators to suspect that the pouch had reached Moomana village, which lies within the Piplu police station limits of Tonk district. Officers then identified and interrogated seven people who had travelled between Malpura and Moomana on the day in question.
The pouch was finally recovered on the basis of these findings, with all items found intact. Police informed the tourist and handed over her belongings on Thursday.
Moshayof Nom expressed her appreciation for the swift action taken by Rajasthan Police and shared a video message praising the force's support. Assistant Sub-Inspector Narayan Lal Sharma and Head Constable Ramraj of DST Malpura played key roles in the operation.
The outcome underlines the readiness of Rajasthan Police to assist foreign tourists, backed by coordinated investigation and professional work.
