Beijing, July 5 – The “Joint Sea‑2026” maneuver marks the latest iteration of a yearly Sino‑Russian maritime partnership. Conducted off Qingdao, the exercise is divided into three distinct stages: troop concentration, port‑planning, and live‑sea operations.

During the concentration stage, Russian warships docked at Qingdao’s naval base, joining Chinese vessels to form a combined task force. The port‑planning segment involved joint logistics coordination, fuel resupply strategies, and communication network set‑up.

In the sea‑practice phase, both navies will execute synchronized navigation drills, anti‑submarine tactics, and aerial support exercises. The training is designed to enhance interoperability and send a clear signal of collective resolve to protect maritime stability in the region.
