Authorities in Texas have apprehended an Afghan national, Mohammad Dawood Alokozay, following the discovery of a TikTok video that appeared to show him constructing a bomb. The video indicated an intended target in the Fort Worth area. Alokozay entered the U.S. as part of Operation Allies Welcome in 2021, after the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Afghanistan. He is currently facing state charges for making a terroristic threat. The arrest was a joint effort involving the Texas Department of Public Safety and the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has placed a detainer on Alokozay following his apprehension. This incident follows closely on the heels of another concerning event involving an Afghan national near the White House.
