Taliban Urges Pakistan to Address Domestic Crises Instead of Shifting Blame

Taliban spokesperson Jabihullah Mujahid called on Pakistan to stop using Afghanistan as a scapegoat for its own policy failures. Speaking from Kabul, he said the Pakistani government is more interested in propaganda than in finding a lasting solution.

Mujahid called Islamabad’s attitude a “failed policy” and warned that senior Pakistani administrators are attempting to derail the peace process. He highlighted that Pakistan’s political instability, security threats, social unrest and economic difficulties are of serious regional concern.

In a post on X, Mujahid wrote that blaming Afghanistan will not alleviate any of Pakistan’s problems. He appealed to the Pakistani authorities to take constructive steps to resolve their internal challenges and to respect the opinions and rights of their politicians and citizens.

The statement was directed at remarks made by Pakistan’s foreign ministry, which claimed that the Taliban and other armed groups have secure bases in Afghanistan. The Taliban categorically denied these claims, asserting that no extremist groups operate from Afghan soil.
