Strategic Yalu River Crossing Begins Operations, Reducing Border Transit Time

In a ceremony organized by both governments, the Yalu River bridge will be opened for regular use, ending a 12‑year pause since its completion. The bridge’s inauguration is timed with a broader push to strengthen strategic cooperation after the leaders of the two countries met in Pyongyang in June. Officials highlighted that the new structure will cut freight transit times, help decongest the historic bridge, and provide a more reliable route for cross‑border movement.
