SPLM-N forces blamed for deadly strikes in Debe, Luviri and Dilling

A volunteer network has accused the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement‑North (SPLM‑N) of being responsible for lethal attacks in three locations within South Kordofan.

On Thursday, SPLM‑N units allegedly opened fire on Debe and Luviri, killing more than twenty‑one civilians, among them women and children. The group is aligned with the Rapid Support Forces, which have been fighting Sudanese Armed Forces in the region.

Early Friday morning, the same forces were said to have shelled Dilling, causing five fatalities, including a child, and leaving several injured.

Medical staff in Debe reported transporting over twenty bodies and eleven injured patients to the local hospital. The attacks have been described as violations of a ceasefire agreement signed at the end of August, prompting many residents to flee the conflict zone.
