Southern Iran faces rising civilian toll as US attacks claim over 30 lives

The southern regions of Iran are experiencing an escalating humanitarian impact following a series of United States strikes. officials said more than 30 civilians have been killed and over 260 wounded in the latest wave of attacks.

The most recent incident involved thirteen American missiles aimed at the Bamoor military complex in Sistan‑Baluchestan Province, killing seven soldiers from the 388th Brigade. Iranian military spokespeople labeled the operation as cowardly and vowed a proportionate response at the right moment.

Government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani posted condolences to the families of the deceased and underscored the state's commitment to stand with the population, describing the southern provinces as the country's "beating heart."

Elsewhere, in the strategic coastal province of Bushehr, Governor Mohammed Mojaffari reported that three western‑coastal sites were struck but there were no reported casualties. Emergency services remain on standby as authorities continue to monitor the situation.
