New Delhi. Indian-made spices have been banned in foreign countries. Hong Kong and Singapore have banned the sale of some spices of MDH and Everest. After investigating the ban imposed on the sale of four spices of both the companies, the Government of India has ordered an investigation on the quality of these spices.
The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has started taking samples of all brands of spices, including MDH and Everest, from across the country after the Indian company’s crackdown on spices in Singapore and Hong Kong, a source said. Spices Board of India It is investigating the ban imposed by Hong Kong and Singapore on the sale of four mixed spice products of the brands. In fact, it has been claimed that these spices contain more than the acceptable limit of ethylene oxide, which causes cancer. Samples of MDH’s Madras Curry Powder, Sambar Masala Mixed Masala, Curry Powder Mixed Masala Powder and Everest’s Fish Curry Masala failed in testing.
