The Australian High Commissioner said that the demand for employable skills in India is set to surge as the country moves toward a knowledge‑based economy. He argued that Australian institutions, which blend rigorous academic standards with hands‑on training, can fill this gap.

At the IIC3 career fair, representatives from more than twenty Australian universities showcased programs ranging from engineering and information technology to health sciences and hospitality. Green highlighted that many of these courses incorporate industry certifications that align with the competencies sought by Indian employers.

In a related launch, AusTrade unveiled a new “School Curriculum Report” aimed at Indian students, parents and educators. The report outlines how Australian curricula map to global skill standards and offers guidance on integrating those frameworks into Indian schooling systems.

Green reiterated that such collaborations not only expand individual career prospects but also contribute to India’s broader ambition of creating a future‑ready labour market.
