Shot fired in Ayodhya Ram Mandir premises, policeman killed

A soldier died after being shot in Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir. The incident happened on Wednesday morning at 5.25 am. Police sources said that the sound of gunshots was heard in the Ram Mandir premises. As soon as the security personnel reached the spot, the injured soldier was immediately taken to the hospital. Doctors declared the soldier dead in the hospital. The soldier has been identified as 25-year-old Shatrughan Vishwakarma.

As soon as the incident came to light, there was a stir in the Ram Janmabhoomi premises. The matter is of Ram Janmabhoomi premises under the police station Ram Janmabhoomi. IG and SSP reached the spot. They themselves investigated the spot. The forensic team also reached the spot and investigated. At present, the body has been sent for post-mortem. The real cause of death will be clear after the report comes.

A soldier was shot in March too

This is the second case of a security personnel getting shot in the Ayodhya Ram Mandir premises. In March also, a PAC platoon commander Ram Prasad died after being shot under suspicious circumstances. He was a resident of Amethi.
