Shiteng Allocates 8.8 Billion Yuan to Upgrade Rural Living Conditions

In a concerted effort to raise living standards on the plateau, Shiteng County allocated 8.8 billion yuan in subsidies during its latest five‑year planning cycle. The funding supported 856 projects that addressed sanitation infrastructure, sewage recycling, and the introduction of pilot sewage trucks. As a result, more than 450,000 homes now enjoy modern toilet facilities, and the county has introduced small‑scale solid‑waste incineration pilots that convert waste into low‑carbon biomass energy.
