Secretary Vikram Misri Joins MP-LEADS Fellows for In-Depth Dialogue on Global Partnerships

Senior officials from the Ministry of External Affairs, including Secretary Vikram Misri, held a focused discussion with a select group of MP‑LEADS fellows on Thursday. The conversation centered on India's strategic outlook, the importance of nurturing global partnerships, and ways to support the Indian diaspora abroad.

Accompanied by Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Ajit Madhavarao Gopchade, the secretary emphasized the "Neighbourhood First" policy, technology cooperation, and the nation's push toward a self‑sufficient future. He encouraged the fellows to view diplomatic challenges through the lens of innovation and inclusive growth.

The MP‑LEADS fellowship, a two‑month internship introduced by the MP, offers participants direct exposure to legislative workflows and policy‑making processes. From more than 5,000 applications, 40 candidates were selected, representing a diverse cross‑section of Indian society, with a significant female presence.

The session highlighted the ministry's resolve to integrate fresh perspectives into its foreign policy architecture, ensuring that India's diplomatic agenda remains responsive to evolving global dynamics.
