In a major boost to advanced manufacturing, Gujarat has signed an MoU to develop a state-of-the-art India-Taiwan Industrial Park in the Sanand-Dholera region. Announced by officials on Friday in Gandhinagar, the agreement unites the Gujarat Science and Technology Department with Alliance International Company Limited to build a comprehensive hub spanning semiconductors, electronics, EVs, and robotics.
The event saw the presence of CM Bhupendra Patel and Minister Arjun Modhwadia. Signatories included Simon Lee from the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce in India and Alliance Group, and P. Bharti from the state department.
Expected to draw more than ₹1,000 crore in FDI, the project is anticipated to create 12,000 jobs over the next five years. It supports Gujarat’s high-tech vision, complementing ongoing semiconductor initiatives valued at ₹1.24 lakh crore.
This park will serve as a dedicated center for high-tech manufacturing and supply chain integration, strengthening bonds between Indian and Taiwanese companies. Nestled in the fast-growing Sanand-Dholera corridor, it will drive an integrated ecosystem for key sectors, enhancing bilateral industrial collaboration.
Gujarat’s bold move positions the state at the forefront of global tech manufacturing. By leveraging Taiwan’s expertise, the initiative not only promises economic dividends but also cements India’s place in the semiconductor revolution, paving the way for sustained growth and innovation.
