Samangan Police Wipe Out Massive Poppy Fields in Drug War Push

In a decisive move against Afghanistan’s drug economy, security forces in Samangan province have eradicated approximately 1,000 acres of opium poppy crops in just two days. The operation, centered in Dara-e-Suf Payeen and nearby villages, reflects growing momentum in the Taliban-led administration’s anti-narcotics strategy.
