Russian Missile Barrage Prompted Ukrainian Counter‑Offensive on Supply Sites

After a night of intensive Russian missile strikes that rattled Kyiv, Dnipro, Lviv and several other regions, Ukraine responded with a coordinated strike on Russian logistics infrastructure. The operation hit three logistics centers located in Sarapul, Kazan and Volgograd, ranging from 500 to roughly 1,300 kilometres away.

President Zelensky said the attacks were designed to undermine the Russian army's ability to sustain its forward positions. He added that Ukraine will continue to protect its citizens while taking decisive steps whenever necessary to push back aggression.

In parallel, Ukrainian forces reported hitting a maritime terminal in Krasnodar, about 270 km from the front, and an oil refinery near Volgograd, 480 km away. The statement also mentioned successful engagements against vessels in the Black Sea, reinforcing Kyiv's claim of a growing capacity to strike deep inside Russian territory.
