Deadly Houthi strike on Riyadh airport kills Pakistani civilian, injures many
A fresh Houthi missile and drone barrage was intercepted by the Saudi‑led coalition on Monday, officials said. Turki al‑Maliki explained that the drone was downed over the Eastern Province and the ballistic missile, aimed at Khamis Mushait, was also destroyed. The statement came after a series of alarming airport attacks. Sunday saw an assault on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh that resulted in the death of a Pakistani citizen and caused injuries to eleven travellers. King Fahd International Airport near Dammam was also hit.
The day before, a Saturday attack on the same Riyadh airport left twelve victims dead and wounded 309 people, marking the deadliest incident on Saudi territory in more than a decade. These developments highlight a sharp uptick in hostile actions across the Saudi‑Yemen border.
