Riyadh Airport Terror Attack Claims Indian National, Families Injured

The terrorist strike on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh resulted in the death of Hyderabad native Mohammed Yusuf Ali, who had been transported to a Riyadh hospital after being wounded. He later died from his injuries.

Indian parliamentarian Asaduddin Owaisi confirmed the fatality on the X platform, adding that three relatives of Ali were also hurt. One son is undergoing knee surgery, while another lost three toes on his foot. The victim's wife and daughter are safe, and an aunt who suffered a head injury is now out of critical condition.

Owaisi reported that he is in contact with Ali's family in Riyadh and that the deputy head of the Indian Embassy has promised all possible help. He also appealed to Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar to provide further assistance to the grieving relatives.

The Indian Embassy in Riyadh officially acknowledged the death of an Indian citizen in the attack, expressing sympathy and confirming that it will work to return the body to India as quickly as possible. The embassy also noted its ongoing liaison with local authorities and hospitals regarding the condition of other Indian victims.

The airport bombing left 12 dead and injured more than 300 people, among them 11 Indians. Early reports listed victims from Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Palestine, the United States, Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Sudan. Saudi officials have blamed Houthi rebels for the assault.

India condemned the repeated attacks on the Riyadh airport, calling them unacceptable attacks on civilians and critical infrastructure. The Ministry of External Affairs extended condolences to the families of the deceased, wished a speedy recovery for the injured, and reaffirmed India's solidarity with Saudi Arabia's efforts to protect its sovereignty and restore peace in the region.
