Reserve Forces Service Time Extended to Up to 100 Days, Israeli Defense Reports
The IDF disclosed that reservist combat units are now serving an average of 80 to 100 days per deployment, a significant increase from the earlier plan of roughly 55 days. The change is attributed to evolving operational requirements.
Since an order issued in August 2024, about 22,000 reservists who had previously been released from duty have been called back for service. The expansion of reserve manpower aligns with the army's intensified campaigns across multiple fronts.
The report also highlighted that, over the past three years, roughly 45,000 individuals in the occupied West Bank have been detained for questioning, including those accused of stone‑throwing, weapon possession or alleged planning of attacks.
