Red Typhoon Alert Issued; Shanghai and Fujian Brace for Heavy Rain

The National Meteorological Center released a red‑typhoon alert on Sunday morning, forecasting torrential rain for central and eastern Zhejiang as Typhoon Dolphin draws near. Meteorologists expect the heaviest showers to persist through Monday afternoon, with the storm likely weakening after making landfall and then tracking northwest across eastern China.

Cities such as Shanghai, Fujian, Anhui and Jiangsu are on high alert, and local governments have activated emergency response teams to monitor flood risks, landslides, and power outages.
