Rasuwagadhi Hydro Project Flood Response Stalls as Power House Remains Inaccessible

The Rasuwagadhi Hydro Power Company confirmed that the underground power house of its 111 MW facility stayed out of reach for all rescue teams. Despite the army's initial progress, the collapsed tunnel segment prevented any further advance. The Prime Minister's Office had earlier released a statement that drones were flown inside the tunnel, but no survivors were located. The ongoing rescue effort rescued 1,330 flood victims by helicopter by early afternoon, yet the critical power infrastructure remains sealed off.
